Meet the Teacher: Jacqueline Dewey
My passion for natural soap making started as a mission to reduce my family’s exposure to toxins—especially after my daughter’s experience with cancer. I wasn’t satisfied with mainstream skincare options, so I dove into holistic remedies, teaching myself and eventually pursuing formal herbal studies. What began as a journey to soothe my daughter’s eczema with natural balms and salves has grown into a full commitment to crafting safe, gentle soap—for my family and for others.
Twenty years of teaching experience- over a decade in public schools and seven years as a homeschool teacher. I hold a Master’s in Education in Gifted & Talented Instruction and a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. My goal is to always make learning accessible, engaging, and straightforward.
You will choose a recipe from my guide, From Seed to Soap. It simplifies the complexities of natural soap making and offers several beginner friendly recipes to choose from. It helps beginners grasp foundational concepts while offering deeper insights for seasoned soap makers. I designed it to cut through long-winded explanations so readers can spend more time creating beautiful soap and less time hunting for information.
